The
Procedures Committee crafts the by-laws. By-laws are subject to
change without notice.
ARITCLE
I. NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1. This organization
shall be known as The ONLINE NCAA EXPERIENCE, hereafter referred
to as DaONE.
Section
2.
The purpose of this organization shall be:
a.
To facilitate online competition using EA Sports' NCAA College Football
series.
b. To organize manage and maintain said competition as an online
117-team league.
c. To provide an environment where competion is honorable and sportmanship
is primary.
ARTICLE
II. MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Membership shall
be concurrent with membership in MaddenMania.com in good standing.
The Executive Committee will vote on prospective officers and members
if necessary. League dues may be required at the discretion of the
Executive Committee. Any member can be removed by the league president
at the discretion of the league president or upon recommendation
by a Conference Commisioner.
ARTICLE
III. OFFICERS AND LEAGUE REPRESENTATIVES
Section 1. The officers of this
organization shall be:
a.
LEAGUE PRESIDENT
The league president is responsible for running the league. The
league president will act as the main moderator on all issues that
come forth. The president will reside over all league meetings.
The league president will bring any issue deemed necessary up for
vote. With 12 Conference Commisioners, he will only need to vote
if there is a 6-6 deadlock on an issue. The league president reserves
the right to make a final decision on any issue regarding the league
or its operation.
b.
CONFERENCE COMMISIONERS
Conference Commisioners will be in charge of each of the 12 conferences,
but must govern their conferences under the rules and policies dictated
by DaONE League and its president.
Conference Commisioners have the following responsibilities:
1.
Ensure that the members of the conference in question are active
and abide by league rules and policies.
2. Monitor games played in the conference.
3. Address any issues and concerns within the conference.
4. Approve individual petitions for out-of-position substitutions
after consulting with the Executive Committee.
5. Represent the conference in the Executive Committee.
6. Contact conference members with any issues regardling the league.

TEAM OWNERS
Each team owner is responsible for playing scheduled games on time
and fairly under the rules of the league. If a team owner becomes
inactive he will be removed from the league and replaced by his
Conference Commisioner, no questions asked. If a team owner has
an issue with another team owner, it is his responsibility to bring
his concerns to the attenion of his conference commisioner in a
private conversation. If the commisioner cannot resolve the issue,
the commisioner will then bring it to the attention of the President
and the Executive Committee, who may then call for a vote on the
matter.
Section 2. Election of Officers
and Coaches
Officers and members shall be elected by a secret ballot by the
Executive Committee or appointed by the league president. Membership
shall be determined by the plurality of the votes cast, unless one
officer or more has a very strong desire for a prospective member
NOT to be granted membership. The reason must be stated and severe
enough to warrant such a request.
Section
3.
Date of Elections
Elections shall be held before the league begins and during the
season if deemed necessary.
ARTICLE
IV. COMMITTEES
Section 1. The league president
shall make provisions for the formation of any special committees
when needed. The following committee are in operation.
Awards
Goals: To craft the mechanisms
required to award coachs and cyber players awards normally presented
by the NCAA as well as awards specific to DaONE league.
Competition
Goals: To monitor comments
on online play and investigate programming flaws to determine whether
or not to disallow certain tactics in league play. Make recommendations
to the Rules Committee.
Executive
Goals: To run the league.
The Executive Committee is comprised of the 12 Conference Commisioners
and the League President.
Playoffs
Goals: To craft procedures
to select the 64 playoff teams and integrate bowl games into the
64-man tournament playoff.
Procedures
Goals: Like a
company, this committee will craft a League Constitution, which
will outline the duties and responsibilities of EACH officer and
player of the league. All Exec Committee members shall work with
the Procedure Committee chair in this regard.
Ranking
Goals: To devise a ranking
scheme similar to the real NCAA without using point differential
as a deciding factor.
Rules
Goals: To craft the rules
and policies that govern the league.
Scheduling
Goals: To create the
league schedule by modifying the real NCAA football schedule as
deemed necessary and appropriate.
Sports Writers
Goals: To write feature
articles, interview, game summaries, and advertisements. They will
forward the stories to the Web Design Committee, who will publish
them on the league website.
Web-Design
Goals: To create a visual
presence for the league. This will include creating a league logo,
avatars, and signature images. This committee will consists of logo
and web designers, who will work together with the GumbyMan (LeagueDaddy
Online Stat Database Website) to firmly integrate statistical support
within the website design.
